Back of the Dragon Club Cruise

Several members of the Club went on, what appears to be, a great cruise to the "Back of the Dragon" near Chilhowie VA. Richard has a friend who runs a bed and breakfast there and was a gracious host to our group. The group consisted of Richard & Janet Stephenson (sponsors), Mark & Connie Mason, Charles & Cindra Justice, Bill Hall and Dave Neil. I was unable to make this 3 day trip but Richard Stephenson had this to say: The photos are attached but they don't really show how much fun the "Back of the Dragon" road trip was. Our hosts Keith and Gail Sanders were particularly responsible for the laughs and great breakfasts at their bed and breakfast. Weather was perfect. #ClubEvents

Gallipolis Car Club Car Show

We had a great time at this show. Rick & Prema Ray were there with their stunning Triumph TR8, John Riffe had his 56 Chevy there and it was for sale. A few people asked about buying it but I don't think any of them are serious buyers. I was there too with my ever present TR6. The Ray's and I both won the top 3 award for imports. Thanks to Kevin Roberts for not showing up so I could win a trophy. And then there was John (aka I don't remember the name he registered under). I think John is in the witness protection program in Ohio. Anyway, he won a Judges Choice award. The venue for this show was just perfect. A beautiful park in downtown Gallipolis with lots of shade trees and a nice breeze fr

Pistons & Pints at the Fly-In Cafe

Who knew this place existed? Well, apparently Bill Hall did. We had a great time at the Fly-In Cafe, home of the WV Skydivers. The place was packed with customers but our table was ready and waiting, just as promised. We had about 10 folks there, which seems to be about average for this get together. We had 20 at the first one but we've settled into a routine number of 10 people. We had some great food and the folks at the Cafe couldn't have been more gracious. The Cafe started out as just some place for the skydivers and campers to get a bite to eat but now it has evolved into a full blown restaurant. If you are looking for a unique place to eat, this is it. Here are the photos: #MidMonthGa
