At 9:30am we had about 5 members in the room. This always makes me nervous. By the time Dan started the meeting at 10:00 AM, all the folks below had shown up:
We started with upcoming events so that the members who couldn't stay for the whole meeting would know what's coming up.
The Rock the Park Show at Kanawha State Forest is today after the meeting. No one wanted to go but I decided to check it out. I went there and it was a gorgeous drive. I only stayed a little while b...
We had our normal monthly meeting at the Golden Corral in Cross Lanes. Those in attendance were Mark & Connie Mason, Paul Mason, Richard Stephenson, Steve Ewing, Kevin Roberts, Me (Bill Michael), Ken Rubin and his guest David Aarons, Bob Wright, Dave Neil, Larry Koppelman, Charles & Cindy Justice and Jim & Rusty Patrick.
I gave a quick overview of my and Barry McCoy's trip to the Vintage Grand Prix at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, OH. We had a great time and saw lots of great racing, and a few mishaps. Nothing serious, just a couple of off course excursions and a couple of gravel trap experiences.
The car events are starting to pick up. I'm sure we're all looking forward to doing the things we love to do with our cars. Whether it be car shows, cruises, or just hanging out with other car guys.
We got together at the Golden Corral for our monthly get together and talked about some of the things we are planning to do. Richard Stephenson brought some brochures from his friend's bed & breakfast when we go on our Virginia cruise. I asked that others contribute to the blog we have started. Just send me your article and maybe some pictures and I'll post it to the website. The folks at the meeting were Kevin Roberts, Dan Blackwood a...
It was another great meeting at the Golden Corral. Dan Blackwood, our President started us off by going around the room and asked each of us to tell who we were and talk about our current car project.
Dan is in the process of replacing the windshield on his TR4A. When he opened the new windshield from The Roadster Factory he discovered that it was cracked. He has contacted TRF but this should remind all of us to open parts when you get them. They could be damaged or they could be the wrong part. Dan has since heard back from Chuck in customer service at TRF and they are willingly working to correct the problem. Dan will receive a...
We've gone out on a limb and changed our meetings drastically. We've decided to dispense with reading minutes, treasurer's report and all that boring stuff. Instead, our meetings are now mostly just car talk which is what most people seemed to want. We will, of course, still have to have motions and votes on things like spending significant amounts of money and other things that would warrant membership approval. Everyone seemed to like the new format. Just so you know, we decided that this blog would replace the minutes of our meetings. I'll include all the relevant information that would normally be in the minutes but in a diffe...
