This is an e-mail I received from a very interesting British Car owner. He and his son have been traveling the country in their MGA and have visited the lower 48 states. Check out his e-mail below. I'm also including a link to his website and I have invited him to our Pistons & Pints get together this month.
This from Barney:
I own one 1958 MGA with almost half a million miles on it. I have owned this one since 1977. As of early 2014 it is the only car I own.
I don't necessarily want to "join" your club as a regular member.
I would like to attend at least one club meeting or other club activity.
The weather was absolutely perfect today for a cruise. There were 10 cars and 16 people on this cruise. We took Rt. 35 to Point Pleasant and watched a little bit of their parade and then headed to the museum. Barry McCoy had arranged some great parking for us so it was only about a block and a half walk to the museum.
Here are the photos:
After the Museum we headed to Syracuse, OH, home of Barry McCoy. On the way we crossed the bridge at Pomeroy, OH. What a beautiful bridge. I think I'll have to come back and take some photos of that bridge. There were some interesting photo opps. in Pomeroy as well.
We had our normal monthly meeting at the Golden Corral in Cross Lanes. Those in attendance were Mark & Connie Mason, Paul Mason, Richard Stephenson, Steve Ewing, Kevin Roberts, Me (Bill Michael), Ken Rubin and his guest David Aarons, Bob Wright, Dave Neil, Larry Koppelman, Charles & Cindy Justice and Jim & Rusty Patrick.
I gave a quick overview of my and Barry McCoy's trip to the Vintage Grand Prix at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, OH. We had a great time and saw lots of great racing, and a few mishaps. Nothing serious, just a couple of off course excursions and a couple of gravel trap experiences.
