The WVBCC participated in Greg & Kay Ervin's all british car show at their home in Jackson, OH.

Greg & Kay have been hosting this show at their elegant home for several years now. I think this is the 35th anniversary show. We've been going for the past 4 years. We always have a good time and the food is outstanding.

We were able to display our cars along with the other British cars mostly from the Jackson area. Greg invited us a few years ago and I think he is pleasantly surprised that we show up every year. The car count seemed to be a little down this year but the fun and enjoyment weren't.

The photos tell the story. You can see wh...

We had a great time at this show. Rick & Prema Ray were there with their stunning Triumph TR8, John Riffe had his 56 Chevy there and it was for sale. A few people asked about buying it but I don't think any of them are serious buyers. I was there too with my ever present TR6.

The Ray's and I both won the top 3 award for imports. Thanks to Kevin Roberts for not showing up so I could win a trophy.

And then there was John (aka I don't remember the name he registered under). I think John is in the witness protection program in Ohio. Anyway, he won a Judges Choice award.

The venue for this show was just perfect. A beautiful park in downto...

The car show boys were at it again at Midway Ford. I brought my TR6, Kevin brought the now famous Miata, John had his MGB and Paul Davis brought his most excellent Mustang. We've been to this show in the past and have always enjoyed it. There were a couple of changes this year. Last year they had free hot dogs, this year ... not free.

They also had a rolling road, that's how the british say it. I'm not sure how much it cost to put your car on the dyno but I know it wasn't free. It was a great opportunity to blow up your car and a couple of guys did. One guy blew a radiator hose and another lost the drive shaft. We opted not t...

The Golden Oldies Car Club had their spring car show today and boy was it cold. Not cold for winter but cold for May. We had our tops up while traveling but put them down at the show. Well, Kevin and I put ours down. John left his up. I think John puts his top down as much as Kevin Worthy puts his up. Anyway, we all know that life is better with the top down.

I was there with my TR6, Kevin Roberts had his awesome British Inspired Miata, John Riffe and his MGB were there and Steve Ewing with his 427 powered Corvette was there and Larry Kopelman showed up sans car. Jimmy Lee was also there but he was parked with his buddies from DuP...

Saturday evening was the Saint Albans Arti Gras event. Todd Gambill, the organizer, invited our club and only our club to display our cars. The assumption being that our cars are art and should be considered as such. We even say that in our club charter.

We had 7 cars in attendance. Jim and Rusty Patrick brought “Wilbur” their Austin Healy Sprite, I had my trusty TR6, John Riffe had his fabulous MGB, Kevin Roberts had is Jaguar, Steve Ewing had his Jaguar, Larry and Chris Kopelman had their Jaguar and Todd Gambill had his Jaguar. As you can see, the Jaguar marque was well represented but that's OK. The Jaguar is probably the most...

Mayberry's had a cruise in and three of us went. I was there, Kevin Roberts was there and Larry Kopelman was there. I was the only british car. Kevin had his great looking Miata and Larry had his T-Bird.

We had a great time and since we were there after the sun went down I was able to check to see if I had wired my headlights backwards. You know, like when your high beams point down instead of up. Well luckily I had wired them correctly. I was mistaken in thinking they were pointing down and in fact they are pretty close on alignment. I'll have to work on that soon.

Mayberry's had some trophies but we don't know if we won anything...

We had 4 members in this show. Bill Michael, Kevin Roberts, John Riffe, and Don Gross. It was a very good show this year. They had lots of trophies so everyone got one.

Kevin was the big winner with 2 first place trophies and $150.00. He beat me by the slimmest of margins.

Kevin's very cool Lexan insert between his roll bars. It doubles as his 3rd brake light.

John Riffe with his 1st. place trophy. This car is for sale for $37,500 which is exactly the right price based on our research.

Bill Michael with his 1st place trophy.

I'm sorry but I didn't get a photo of Don Gross with his trophy for his Studebaker pick up truck. This was his...

We were once again invited to participate in the West Virginia International Car Show this year. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out quite as expected. We were to have our cars lifed up by crane on Wednesday and on that day it began to snow. Four of us braved the elements and had our cars in the show. We were Kevin Roberts, Dave Neil, Bill Michael and Nathan Arnette. Even though the weather was bad there were about 30 classic cars that showed up.

The next day, Thursday, the weather cooperated and we were able to clean up our cars and get them ready for the show that started the next day, Friday. That's when everything went South,...
