During our March meeting, several other shops were mentioned.
Richard Stephenson (rsstephe@citynet.net), (304-532-3604) had some head work done for his E-type. The shop was in Columbus. No one local was able to do it.
Don Fugate (donfugate5850@yahoo.com), (817-938-8645) recommends Wootens in Huntington for front end work. They did his MGB.
Charles Hypes (mgaroadster57@yahoo.com), (304-544-4621) recommends Joe Lemley in Proctorville, OH for engine work. He has been building race engines for quite a long time.
Don Jeffers (don.jeffers@frontier.com), (734-730-2933), is looking for an upholstery shop. Several members suggested various shops. Contact Don for that information. Don may also have a lead on some chrome shops.
Kevin Roberts (kmreagle@gmail.com), (304-550-3865) has had machine work done at Givens in Charleston. Check with him about his experience. Once Kevin gets his new shop up and running he will have a new, state of the art, $13,000 tire machine. My understanding is that the tire industry is touting this as better than the road force balance machines that are in use now and the road force balance machines are awesome.
I'm adding Paul's Chrome to the list. They are located just north of Pittsburgh, about 4hrs. from us. They want to see the part before they will give a firm price but they will probably give an estimate from a photo.. Here's there website: http://www.paulschrome.com/index.php.
This is from Jim Patrick:
Could this list include New and Used parts vendors?
My response was:
I don't see why not.
