We had a great time at this show. Rick & Prema Ray were there with their stunning Triumph TR8, John Riffe had his 56 Chevy there and it was for sale. A few people asked about buying it but I don't think any of them are serious buyers. I was there too with my ever present TR6.
The Ray's and I both won the top 3 award for imports. Thanks to Kevin Roberts for not showing up so I could win a trophy.
And then there was John (aka I don't remember the name he registered under). I think John is in the witness protection program in Ohio. Anyway, he won a Judges Choice award.
The venue for this show was just perfect. A beautiful park in downtown Gallipolis with lots of shade trees and a nice breeze from the Ohio river that runs next to the park. They had food, and nearby shops, great goody bags, lots of door prizes, raffles and of course 50/50. One of the local churches was giving away free ice cream. There were lots of great cars as well and many nice people. We always meet the nicest people at car shows.
I think this one will be on our list for next year.
