WVBCC Meeting Minutes
December 12, 2021
The meeting was called to order by Mark Mason, President at 10:45AM.
The meeting was held at the garage of Dan Blackwood.
This was the second meeting that we had the Earl Arentz swap meet in conjunction with the meeting.
The new officers for the next two years were introduced. Mark Mason, President; Barry McCoy, Vice President; Bill Hall, Secretary; and Jamie Chenoweth, Treasurer.
Barry McCoy presented outgoing President Bill Michael with a very nice cutout map of the state of WV with a British flag painted on the front and members signatures on the back. Bill was very appreciated and thanked Barry and all the members for such a generous gift.
Mark Mason recognized our past presidents Dan Blackwood and Bill Michael for their service to the club.
Several car shows were mentioned. Unfortunately, the cancellations continue due to the pandemic. The Gathering in Dobson, NC was canceled along with the World of Wheels in Huntington.
Discussions continued around our desire to have a rally sometime this year. Jack Sampson, Dave Chenoweth and Kevin Halloran discussed some of the ways this could be accomplished. More to come when an appropriate time gets closer.
Charles Hypes, who hosted us at his garage last year invited us back sometime in 2021 for another visit. He also mentioned that an estate auction was going to be held near him and there will be a 78 Triumph Spitfire offered for sale.
Barry commented that car cruises should be back in the near future when the weather warms.
Earl suggested a vendor swap meet and Dan suggested that it be incorporated into our car show this year.
Meeting adjourned at 11:45AM.
