The WVBCC was once again invited to participate in the WV International Auto Show. As always our cars were lifted up on a crane to the second floor. It's always a little scary but these guys have been doing this for 18 years and I don't think they've damaged a car yet. They also use the crane to put the luxury cars on the second floor. We were up there with the Audi R8, Lexus', BMW's, Lincoln's, Etc. Kevin Roberts has a cool video of his car riding the crane.
Members who participated were: Jim Patrick, Charles Justice, Dave Neil, Bill Michael & Kevin Roberts.
This year was a pretty good show for us. We had some members pay their dues and picked up a new member in Seth Meeks. The classic cars got more recognition this year than I can remember in years past. I called in to Mayor Jones' radio show on WCHS and encouraged people to visit the classic car area and Ruth Lemon, the president of the car and truck dealers association, also mentioned our cars. She actually mentioned them twice. Once with Danny Jones and again later in the day on Steve Bishop's show. Super Duper Charlie Cooper was kind enough to send me the audio. Look for it in the e-mail announcing this blog post.
Just by accident all of our cars were red and that got us quite a bit of attention. That and the way we had the cars parked. We also had a table and our car club banners were prominently displayed.
Here's a couple of pictures.
